How to Add a StumbleUpon Link

StumbleUpon is useful for discovering new websites and finding unique content online, but you can also submit your own links to StumbleUpon to increase traffic and visibility to your website or blog. The easiest way to submit links to StumbleUpon is through the StumbleUpon toolbar, which is available for a wide variety of popular browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you use a Web browser that is not compatible with the StumbleUpon toolbar, you can use the in-browser toolbar to add your links.

Instructions

1. Open the browser on which you have installed the StumbleUpon toolbar. If you don't have the StumbleUpon toolbar, you can download it for your browser at stumbleupon.com/download.

2. Navigate to the page you want to submit to StumbleUpon and click the "Thumbs-Up" icon in your StumbleUpon toolbar. A pop-up window will appear if the page has not already been submitted to StumbleUpon.

3. Click "Yes" or "No" to confirm whether or not your link is safe for work. Pages containing nudity, sex, drugs and graphic violence are considered not suitable for work.

4. Click a topic to select a category for your link. Type up to five tags for your link. into the "Tags" field. Type a review into the field if you desire and select a language for your link.

5. Click the "Submit Review" button to to submit your link to StumbleUpon.

Tips & Warnings

• StumbleUpon requires that you "Like" a certain amount of pages from other websites along with your own content. If you get a white window after clicking the "Submit Review" button, you have been submitting too much of your own content. Stumbling and liking pages from varied websites will remove this block.
