How to Search eBay International

Save

You live in a global economy. Political borders no longer act as a barrier to commerce, for the most part. EBay knows this. Sure, you may default to the eBay website created for your country -- American users are pointed to ebay.com while Canadian users search ebay.ca -- but eBay also runs an website designed to let U.S.-based buyers search the auction listings from around the world. Searching eBay Global Buying, as the international website is called, is just as easy as searching the more local versions.

  • Launch a Web browser and navigate to the eBay Global Buying website at global.ebay.com.

  • Type what you're looking for into the "Search for items ... " field in the yellow strip near the top of the screen.

  • Click the drop-down menu to the right of the search field, labeled "Search items from." Select the country whose listings you would like to search, or select "All eBay sites."

  • Click "Search."

  • Refine your search using the filters in the "Search Options" box on the left side of the search results page.
