How to Put a Video From My Camera on Facebook


Facebook is a popular social networking site that allows members to post and share photos, videos and website links with friends. In addition to uploading photos from your computer to your profile, you can also upload videos. As of the time this article was written, member cannot upload videos directly from a digital camera or camcorder. If you want to post a video from your camera on your Facebook page, you can transfer the file to your computer and upload it to your account.

Transfer Video to Computer

  • Connect your digital camera to your computer by using the device's USB cable. Windows will recognize your device as a removable drive.

  • Go to "Start" and click "Computer." Your digital camera will be listed in the "Devices with Removable Storage" section.

  • Double-click your digital camera's icon. A list of files saved on your camera will appear.

  • Select the videos you want to transfer to your computer.

  • Click and drag the selected videos to a folder on your PC. If your preferred folder is not accessible from your desktop screen, open the folder before clicking and dragging the files. The files will be copied and saved to your chosen folder automatically.

Upload Video to Facebook

  • Open your preferred Web browser, go to Facebook's official site and log into your account.

  • Click the "Profile" toolbar tab, and then click the "Photos" link on the left side of the page. The "Photos" option allows you to upload videos, as well as pictures.

  • Click the "Upload Video" button, which is located in the top right corner of the page. The "Create a New Video" page will open.
