How to Uninstall a DWG Trueview

Autodesk AutoCAD is a computer program used to draft blueprints for large projects such as buildings. If you have ever needed to view an AutoCAD drawing on your computer, you may have installed DWG TrueView. This free program enables people to open and view AutoCAD drawings without purchasing the full AutoCAD software. DWG TrueView is a large program, and if you installed it to view a single drawing, you may no longer need to have it on your computer. Remove it if you do not intend to use it again.

  • Click the "Control Panel" icon on the Start menu.

  • Click "Uninstall a Program" or "Programs and Features."

  • Click "DWG TrueView" on the program list. The full name of the program also contains the version number, such as "DWG TrueView 2008."

  • Click the "Uninstall" button. A window titled "DWG TrueView Installation Wizard -- Maintenance Mode" appears.

  • Click the "Uninstall" button at the bottom of the window.

  • Click "Next." Windows uninstalls DWG TrueView, displaying a status bar in the lower-left corner of the window during the process. When the software removal is finished, the window displays the message "Uninstall Complete."

  • Click "Finish."
