How to Use Comic Zeal for Your iPad

It may not always be convenient for you to read a digital comic book on your desktop or laptop computer. If you have an iPad, you can use Bitolithic's Comic Zeal app to read comics saved as CBR, CBZ, RAR or PDF files on your device. Apple's iPad is a tablet computer that comes with a 9.7-inch multi-touch display. It connects to the Internet over Wi-Fi, and the iPad + 3G can also connect via cellular data networks, enabling you to access Apple's App Store to download the Comic Zeal app.

  • Press the "Home" button on the iPad.

  • Tap the "App Store" icon on the home screen to access Apple's App Store. Tap "Search." Tap the search bar, and then type "Comic Zeal." Tap "Search." Tap "Comic Zeal" from the search results. Tap the price next to "Comic Zeal," and then tap "Install." Type your Apple ID at the prompt. The Comic Zeal app downloads directly to your iPad.

  • Launch iTunes on your computer. Connect your iPad to a USB port on your computer with the iPad's USB cable. The iPad's icon appears in the left pane of the iTunes application window. Select it.

  • Click the "Apps" tab at the top of the iTunes window. A list of apps appears in the "Apps" pane under "File Sharing." Click "Comic Zeal" from the "Apps" pane to select it. The "Documents" pane next to the "Apps" pane changes its name to "Comic Zeal Documents."

  • Drag a comic book from a folder on your hard drive into the "Comic Zeal Documents" pane in the iTunes application window. The comic book transfers to your iPad. Click the eject button next to the icon of your iPad in the left pane of the iTunes window, and then disconnect the iPad from your computer.
