How Do I Tweet Audio Clips?

Save

While Twitter does not natively support audio tweets, you can record or upload an audio clip and create a tweet-friendly link to that clip using one of three free services: Chirbit, audioBoom or ShoutOmatic.

Chirbit

Step 1

Visit the Chirbit home page and either log in to the website or create a new account.

Step 2

Select Record and click the red Record button to start recording an audio clip using your microphone. Alternatively, select Upload to upload an audio file to Chirbit.

Name your audio clip and close the Record or Upload window.

Tip

    • Chirbit supports audio clips that are up to five minutes long.
    • In addition to letting you record or upload audio clips, Chirbit also offers a feature called Text 2 Chirbit which automatically translates text into speech.
    • Your browser may ask you for permission before allowing you to record an audio clip using your computer's microphone.
