How to Delete Firebug

Firebug is a special Web development add-on for Mozilla Firefox. Firebug allows you to view the code of any Web page in real time by activating its menu. This tool is very useful for Web developers, since it allows you to view what tricks other developers have used to create a certain look. It is also handy for debugging custom-made Web pages. You may need to delete Firebug at some point, perhaps as part of an upgrade to a newer version of the add-on. Deleting Firebug is a simple process that won't affect Firefox at all.

  • Click "Tools" at the top of the Firefox main window.

  • Select "Add-ons" from the menu that appears to open a window displaying all of the installed Firefox add-ons.

  • Navigate to "Firebug" and click it once to highlight it.

  • Press the "Uninstall" button to remove the Firebug add-on. After the uninstallation process completes, restart Firefox.
