Whether your daughter loves the story of Cinderella or simply likes saying Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo and waiving a magic wand, a fairy godmother costume is right up her alley. While you can purchase the costume from a costume shop and pay a high price for it, you can just as easily make the costume with some simple-to-find items.

Things You'll Need

  • Wig
  • Glitter makeup
  • Graduation grown pattern
  • Powder blue fabric
  • Pink ribbon
  • Ballet flat shoes
  • Silver magic wand

Obtain a white, gray or silver wig and put your daughter’s hair in a bun underneath.

Paint her cheeks with glitter makeup to giver her a magical sparkle.

Obtain a graduation gown pattern from a sewing store and make a graduation gown with hood in your daughter’s size. For the fairy godmother, it should be powder blue with a pink ribbon for the hood tie.

Purchase or paint some ballet flat slippers powder blue.

Obtain or make a magic wand with a star at the end. Be sure and use white or silver glitter, not gold.
