When writing a post in WordPress, you have several options for creating a bulleted list. By default, WordPress creates a list using square bullets beside each item. By viewing the HTML code for your list, you can customize the type of bullet from the standard square icon to a circle or a disc.
When you're writing a post in WordPress, you can begin writing a bulleted list by clicking the "Bulleted List" button in the format toolbar. This button is above the blog post text box and has dots and three horizontal lines on it. Whatever line your cursor is on becomes bulleted using a square bullet. You can continue the list by pressing "Enter" for a new list item, and you can end the list by pressing "Backspace."
After creating a bulleted list, you can view the HTML code for it by clicking the "Text" tab above the blog post text box. The list appears using the <ul> code for an unordered HTML list. To change the bullet to a solid circle, change the <ul> line to <ul style="list-style-type:circle">. You can use "disc" instead of "circle" to have a disc-shaped bullet rather than a filled circle.
