Google's YouTube video site has a Safety Mode you can enable in your Web browser. This mode blocks mature content on YouTube, so users using the browser can't see it. Google's filter isn't completely accurate, but helps block pornography, objectionable comments and other problematic content. You won't see mature videos in search results, playlists or related videos anywhere on the website. You can turn off this mode on Google's YouTube website.
Open Google's YouTube website.
Click the "On" link to the right of "Safety Mode" at the bottom of any page on Youtube.com.
Click the "Off" option and click "Save."
Tips & Warnings
- If Safety Mode is locked, you'll have to click the "Unlock Safety Mode Setting" button instead of the "Save" button and provide the password for the YouTube account that locked the safety mode setting.
