How to Change Open Office to Landscape

Save, the software suite that people often refer to as "Open Office," supports many document creation and editing features, including customizing page orientation. Portrait, the default orientation, arranges the page vertically. Landscape, the alternate option, orients it horizontally. Set your page's orientation from's "Styles and Formatting" section. The "Landscape" option does not always appear in the menu, so you may have to enable it.

  • Press the "F11" key to open the "Styles and Formatting" window.

  • Click the "Page Styles" icon.

  • Click "Landscape" if it appears in the list of styles. Otherwise, right-click "Default," and click "New." A new dialog box open, asking you to name the new style.

  • Name the new style "Landscape."

  • Switch to the box's "Page" tab.

  • Click the radio button next to "Landscape."

  • Click "OK" to close the dialog box. "Landscape" now appears as an option under "Page Styles."

  • Click the new "Landscape" option to select it.
