How to Install Leapster 2
Leapster 2 is an educational handheld gaming console geared for children ages 4 to 8 that has more than 40 games available for it. The handheld console has controller buttons similar to those on standard gaming consoles, such as a directional pad and "A" and "B" buttons. The Leapster 2 comes with software that you can install yourself to download the games.

Remove the back cover and insert 4 AA batteries. Turn on the console.

Choose a country when prompted. This is required the first time that you set up the console. The Leapster 2 will prompt you to enter a name for up to three different children who can play the Leapster 2.

Insert the LeapFrog Connect CD into the computer's CD-ROM drive. The Leap Frog installer will automatically launch. Install the Connect Application by clicking the arrows to follow the prompts. The installer will place a Leap Frog Connect Application icon on the desktop.

Double-click on the Leap Frog Connect Application icon to launch the software. Click on the button in the "My Toys" box and the "Start Here" button. Follow the instructions to connect the Leapster 2 gaming console and set up a Leap Frog account. Once the account has been created, you can set up the games. Connect the Leapster 2 console to the computer using the provided USB cable. Insert a 2 GB SD card into the Leapster 2 to save the games.

Click on a player name in the "My Toys" box. Click on the "Game" tab on the left side of the page and follow the prompts to download a game.
