How to Rotate Text Vertically in Dreamweaver
Adobe Dreamweaver does not have an internal button or menu option to help format text at different angles. As a result, if you would like your text to be turned sideways, at an angle, or even upside down, you must either manipulate the text in CSS or save the text as a graphic in a graphics-editing program and then insert it as an image. If you are a novice in Web design, inserting the graphic as an image is the easier option.

1
Open your graphics-editing program, and create a new document. Type the text on the blank background.
-
2
Format the text by highlighting it and selecting a different size, font or effect in the text menu of your graphics program.

3
Make the background transparent by adjusting the opacity of the background. The instructions for doing this vary according to the graphics program you are using, but in Adobe Photoshop you can adjust the opacity by selecting the background and moving the opacity slider to zero. Or you can use the "Background Eraser" tool to get rid of the background. This will save just the words and not the white background that you see on your screen.

4
Rotate the text to your desired angle by going to "Image" and selecting "Rotate." Then, to rotate text vertically, change the rotation of the text to 90 degrees. If you are working in Photoshop, you can click the "Rotate" button on the menu and drag a corner of the image to the degree of rotation that you want.
-
5
Save the image as a GIF by going to "File" and "Save As." Type a name for the image, and select "Compuserve GIF" in the drop-down menu.
-
6
Return to Dreamweaver, and select the "Insert Image" button on the top toolbar. This button has a picture of a tree. Choose your new image of the text. The text should now appear on your website design.
