Tango is a classified as a Trojan because it is a malicious program that disguises itself as a useful Internet toolbar. Tango claims to block pop-ups and provide enhanced Internet search capabilities. Once it is downloaded, however, Tango redirects your Internet searches to malicious websites and floods your computer with unsolicited pop-up advertisements. Tango may also slow your computer. Fortunately, you can remove Tango from your computer.

Instructions

  1. End Processes

    • 1

      Press "Ctrl," "Shift" and "Esc" to open the Task Manager.

      Click the "Processes" tab of the Task Manager.

      End the following processes. To end a process, right-click the process and select "End Process."

      GabPath.exe

      jnipmo.exe

      Close the Task Manager.

    Delete Registry Entries

      Click "Start." Type "regedit" into the search field, and press "Enter" to open the Registry Editor.

      Delete the following registry entries from the left pane of the Registry Editor. To delete a registry entry, right-click the entry and select "Delete."

      HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2333105494-1048492065-1185645942-1006\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion Run "GabPath"

      HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2333105494-1048492065-1185645942-1006\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion Run "SfKg6wIPuSp"

      Close the Registry Editor.

    Delete Files

      Click "Start." Type "GabPath.exe" into the search field. Right-click "GabPath.exe" in the results list, and select "Delete."

      Click "Start" and type "jnipmo.exe" into the search field. Right-click "jnipmo.exe" in the results list and select "Delete."

      Restart your computer.
