How to Reset the LG EnV2

Save

LG released the EnV2 in early 2008 as a sequel to the popular EnV messaging device. The EnV2 is designed with quick messaging in mind but it also contains all of the features you'd expect to find in a modern cellphone. Over time, you might notice the EnV2 software is acting erratically or the device performance is sluggish. The best way to correct the issue is to reset the device to its factory defaults. The EnV2 also has a second reset option that will not only restore the factory defaults but also erase all of your information.

  • Flip open the EnV2. Press the "OK" button to launch the main menu.

  • Press "9" to access the "Settings and Tools" menu. Then press "6" to access the "Phone Settings" menu. Press "6" again to access the "Security" menu.

  • Enter your four-digit lock code to continue. If you have never changed the lock code, it will be the last four digits of your phone number.

  • Press "5" to revert the device to its factory default settings or press "6" to revert the settings and erase all of your information.

  • Press "OK" after reading the warning message. Enter your lock code again and the EnV2 will initiate the reset cycle.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are experiencing software issues, always try a soft reset before first. Simply remove and reinsert the battery to see if the problem goes away.
