The Test of Essential Academic Skill (TEAS) is a multiple-choice reading, math, science, language and English examination for individuals seeking to enter a nursing school program. The test is given in four areas and your composite score is computed in each area. This composite score is based on the number of questions you answer correctly and the number of questions on the exam.

Locate the total number of questions for the section of the test you require the composite score. The number of questions for each section is listed on your score transcripts next to the section title.

Locate the total number of questions you answered correctly on the same section of the test. The number of questions you answered correctly will be listed on your score transcripts next to the total number of questions.

Divide the number of questions on the test section by the number of questions you answered correctly. The result will be your composite test score.
