How to Get a Bridge Card
The Bridge card is the electronic benefit transfer, or EBT card for the state of Michigan, used for both cash benefits and food stamp programs, or FAP. Only families that meet the eligibility requirements can apply for and receive this card for either program. All persons living together and purchasing food together are considered to be a part of the same Food Assistance group. The Department of Human Services decides your eligibility for cash benefits and food assistance.
