How to Run a Test on an HP F4100 Series Printer

The HP F4100 series of printers are all-in-one inkjet printers, designed for use in both the home and office. The F4100 series allows users to print documents directly from a computer, scan documents and then save them on the computer, as well as make black and white or color photocopies. If your F4100 series printer is not properly printing documents, or is not printing at all, you may be asked to print a self-test page by the HP telephone support technician. The self-test page provides information pertaining to the printer and ink cartridges that can point to the direct cause of the malfunction or error.

Instructions

1. Load a piece of paper into the paper tray, if there is not any paper already loaded.

2. Press and hold the "Cancel" button on the control panel of the printer.

3. Press the "Start Copy Color" button to print the test page.
