How to Cut Cookie Bars Into Triangles
Rather than making traditional drop cookies, many bakers make cookie bars. You can easily convert many classic cookie recipes to cookie bars by simply placing the dough on a baking sheet and spreading it out to make one massive cookie. After baking the giant sheet cookie, the baker usually cuts the cookie into square or rectangular shapes. To switch it up, the baker can easily cut the cookie bars into triangular-shaped treats. Bake a sheet cookie. Spread the cookie dough onto a cookie sheet and bake. A sheet cookie is likely to require a few more minutes in the oven than required in a recipe for drop cookies.

Remove the cookies from the oven. Let them cool to room temperature.

Cut the sheet cookie vertically. Use the knife, metal dough scraper or pizza cutter to divide the sheet cookie into 4 or so columns of equal width.

Cut the cookie horizontally to create rectangle- or square-shaped treats.

Cut each rectangle or square in half diagonally, from a top corner to the bottom corner on the other side.

Use a spatula to lift the triangle-shaped bar cookies from the pan. Place them on a plate or platter for their final display.
