How to Activate a Verizon PC5740

The Verizon Wireless PC5740 is a broadband wireless modem manufactured by UT Starcom. The card connects to the 1xEV-DO cellular network and fits into a standard type II PCMCIA slot. The user can activate the card through the menu options in Verizon Wireless's connection software, VZAccess Manager. During activation, the PC5740 will make a call to a special activation number and download the phone number and other settings. The process takes about 60 seconds.
