How to Activate a Verizon PC5740

The Verizon Wireless PC5740 is a broadband wireless modem manufactured by UT Starcom. The card connects to the 1xEV-DO cellular network and fits into a standard type II PCMCIA slot. The user can activate the card through the menu options in Verizon Wireless's connection software, VZAccess Manager. During activation, the PC5740 will make a call to a special activation number and download the phone number and other settings. The process takes about 60 seconds.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Start" button on the Windows task bar, then click on "All Programs."

2. Click on "VZAccess Manager" to open the Verizon Wireless connection software.

3. Click on "Options" at the top of the screen, and a drop-down menu will appear.

4. Click on "Activation" to begin the activation process.
