How to Make Bottlecaps for Bows
Bows make fashionable accessories for girls' outfits. Because there are many types of ribbons available for bow crafting, hair bows can be created in a variety of sizes and colors to match clothing. Additional embellishments such as a bottle cap can be added to the bow's center. The bottle cap is first decorated with a printed image or decorative scrapbook paper and sealed with a resin glaze. Making your own bottle caps for bows is fun and more economical than buying premade bows.

3
Press the punched out circle onto the glued area. Adjust the circle until it is centered and let it dry for 12 hours. It may appear to dry within an hour, but waiting longer lets the glue set completely.

4
Drip a few dots of glaze onto the center of the glued image. The glaze will slowly spread toward the edges. Let dry for 24 hours. Apply a second layer if the first application looks too thin. It should have a clear glass-like surface over the image and its edges to prevent peeling.

5
Glue the bottle cap with the hot glue gun to the top center of your hair bow.
