How to Make POE Fast & Easy in "Puzzle Pirates"

Find treasure chests while jobbing.

Puzzle Pirates is an online multi-player game where players compete to accumulate pieces of eight (PoE.) There are many ways to earn PoE on Puzzle Pirates, from running a successful shop to pillaging. However, the quickest and easiest way to increase your bank account is by "jobbing" with a successful crew. While jobbing, players solve puzzles associated with different pirating activities. The better a player handles her puzzle, the more likely her crew is to win PoE. As long as players take the time to improve core puzzling skills, like carpentry and bilging, they should be able to accumulate PoE with little difficulty.

Instructions

1. Login to Puzzle Pirates. Press the blue "Notice Board" button. Click the "Missions" tab at the top of the Notice Board. Choose a pirating skill to improve, then press the "Go!" button to practice it with the navy. You'll be taken automatically to a navy ship where you'll be paid PoE as you practice.

2. Practice your skills with your local navy until your rank, or "puzzle standing," begins to rise. Aim to have a "Distringuished" skill level in at least two basic skills before you proceed. Basic skills include bilging, carpentry and sailing. The higher your skills, the better the crew you'll be able to apply to.

3. Press the blue "Notice Board" button again. Press the "Voyages" tab. Select a crew to job with, then press the blue "Apply" button to send the officers your application. If the officers are impressed with your rank, they'll offer you a temporary jobbing position. Press the "Accept" button to be taken to their ship and begin jobbing.

4. Impress the crew with your puzzling skills to be offered a permanent position. If you enjoyed jobbing with the crew, accept the offer. Pillage with your new crew whenever possible. Take temporary jobbing assignments with other crews between pillages. As your experience grows, you'll soon be earning PoE quickly and easily.

Tips & Warnings

• Players can win PoE quickly by betting on parlor games, but they can also lose PoE just as fast on failed bets.
