Jandy Aquapure 1400 Instructions

Having a pool outside of your home can be great in the hot summer months, but it can also be hard to keep clean. The Jandy Aquapure 1400 is an electric chlorine generator that can be installed in your pool to keep a fresh supply of chlorine flowing and ensure the elimination of any germs or bacteria. Once the device is installed, you can control it by using the control panel located on the device.

  • Press the "Up" or "Down" arrows at any time to adjust the chlorine production rate of the machine. If you feel like there is too much or too little chlorine in the pool, use these buttons to adjust the production rate by 5-percent increments for each press of the arrow buttons. It is recommended to adjust the rate by 10 percent at a time and test the water until you find a level you like.

  • Press the "Salinity" button at any time to check the salt levels in the pool. The salinity will appear on the screen in terms of grams per liter (gpl). This number should be between 3 and 3.5 gpl. If the screen reads "HH," the salinity is too high to be accurately measured.

  • Press the "Temperature" button once to see the current temperature of the pool. Hold this button down for ten seconds to enter "Boost" mode for complete cleaning of your pool. Boost mode will increase chlorine production to 100 percent for a 24-hour span and then return to the previous setting. Do not enter the pool while the device is in boost mode.

  • Press the "Mode Select" button at any time to change the current mode of the Aquapure 1400. The mode will be shown on the display screen. "Auto" mode will run the system with your current settings. "Time Out" mode will turn the device off completely. "Service" mode will allow a service technician to make adjustments or repairs to the unit.
