How to Install a Zip Drive for My Gateway 500X PC Desktop Computer
The Zip drive was developed by Iomega and was introduced in 1994. This device quickly became popular because it could store up to 750 megabytes, or MB, of data. The Zip 3.5-inch floppy disk had all of the conveniences of earlier versions of the floppy disk but held much more data. The portable and rugged disk was used to back up and archive personal and server computer data. Many backup programs use the Zip disk as a means of archiving data.
