Connect to the Internet, if necessary.

Open your Norton software. The software can be accessed by either clicking on the icon on the desktop, or the icon located in the right side of the taskbar.

Click the "LiveUpdate" link in the main menu. On some versions of the software, the link is labeled "Run LiveUpdate." This will open up the LiveUpdate program and automatically connect to Symantec's server. Once connected, LiveUpdate will automatically download and install all necessary updates for your software.
