How to Set Up Message Tones on a Razr V3
The Motorola V3, known as the MotoRAZR, is a slim, lightweight flip phone that was sold by many mobile carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. You can personalize almost every aspect of the Motorola V3, including wallpaper, alert tones, ring tones and menus. The RAZR has tones for use as ring tones, caller ID tones, message tones and other alerts. It also accommodates MP3 tones and is equipped with a recorder to make your own tones. You can set up message tones in just a few moments.

Press the "Circle" key in the center of the navigation arrows to access the main menu on the RAZR V3.

Use the navigation keys to scroll to and highlight "Settings" and press the center navigation key select it. Highlight "Ring Styles" and press the center navigation key to open.

Highlight the ringer option you prefer, such as "Loud" or "Soft." You cannot change the alert tone for the vibrate and silent ringer styles. Press the center navigation button to select.

Highlight "Message Tones" from the ringer style detail list and press the center navigation key to try the available tones. Scroll through the list of message alert tones until you locate the one you prefer. Pausing on each available tone will allow you to preview it.

Press the center navigation key to select your preferred message alert tone. You can press the "Back" button or the "End Call" button to save your preference and exit the menu.
