Go Daddy: How to Upload FTP
Upload your website efficiently using FTP. With FTP, you move files directly from one computer to another. Use a program called an FTP client to drag-and-drop your website files from your home computer to Go Daddy's Web server. Find free FTP clients online, or use the built-in client available from Web design programs such as Dreamweaver and GoLive. Some of the more popular FTP clients are FileZilla, Fetch for Mac and gFTP for Linux.

1
Open a Web browser and go to your website address to make sure it's active. If you just signed up, your website may not be set up on Go Daddy's server yet.
-
2
Gather your domain name, your FTP username and the website password. You established these when you set up your Go Daddy account.
-

3
Launch your FTP client or open the FTP menu in your design software, if applicable. Check the help file in your design software to locate the FTP settings.

4
Add a new FTP account. In the FTP client interface, the top menu may have a plus sign or similar "add" icon. Check "File" > "New" if you don't see an "add" icon in the menu bar. FileZilla's path is "File" > "Site Manager" > "New Site."
