Color PDF files may be printed in black and white in Adobe Reader.

Portable Document Format files are created from printable source material using a PDF writing program. These files may then be opened and viewed by anyone utilizing a PDF reading program, such as the popular Adobe Acrobat, thereby eliminating the need for the source program. Because of the wide variety of programs from which PDF files are created, many will be color files.
