How to Use Picasa to Search for Duplicate Photos
Picasa is a desktop application created by Google for viewing and sorting photos and images contained on your hard drive. The Picasa desktop application can be linked to the Picasa Web Albums photo-sharing website. You can use Picasa to organize, sort and edit photos and other images. One of the features included in the Picasa software is the ability to search for duplicate photos stored in multiple locations on your hard drive.

Download and install the Picasa desktop application from picasa.google.com.

Open the Picasa program. The software will automatically search your hard drive for all images stored on it. This process may take some time, depending on the number of photos and images on the hard drive.

Click on the "Tools" menu at the top of the screen.

Highlight the "Experimental" menu option.

Click on the "Show Duplicate Items" menu option. Only the duplicate images will appear in the main photo browser.
