How to Use the iTunes Shopping Cart
1-Click shopping is the default setting in iTunes, but you can also buy using a shopping cart if you're using iTunes 8 or earlier. With 1-Click, your PayPal account or credit card is automatically charged when you click the "Buy" button. When you enable shopping cart, the files are placed in a cart instead, and you can review the purchase before you approve payment and begin the downloads. Starting with iTunes 9, the shopping cart was phased out and only 1-Click purchases are available with the newer software.

Tips & Warnings
To save files for later purchase in iTunes version 9 or later, create a playlist called "Wish List" and drag previews from iTunes to the Wish List playlist. The song or video titles will stay in your playlist until you're ready to purchase them.
If you click "Buy" in the iTunes store, the file will automatically begin to download and you will be charged. There are no refunds in the iTunes Store so click with caution.
