How to Make a Prayer Bouquet

How to Make a Prayer Bouquet thumbnail
You can transform an ordinary set of balloons into a prayer bouquet.

A pray bouquet is a general term for creating a physical representation of a group of collected prayers. You can make a prayer bouquet to show someone in a time of severe need or trauma that many people are praying for him. Alternatively, you can use a prayer bouquet as a way to give a bunch of your favorite prayers to someone who needs exposure to new ones. Regardless of your reason and execution, creating a prayer bouquet is an incredibly thoughtful and relatively easy gesture.

Instructions

    • 1

Print out a relevant prayer on a piece of high-grade printer paper. Alternatively, print out the name of someone who is praying for the recipient on a piece of paper. Trim around the prayer or name so the final look is clean.

    • 2

Collect a bunch of balloons, one for each prayer card or name. For example, if you have seven prayer cards you've printed, amass seven balloons. If you have 11 people praying for this person, you'll need 11 balloons. Use balloons that are all one color, such as a spiritually soothing color like blue or teal, or select a range of different-colored balloons.

    • 3

Slide a prayer card or name inside of each balloon. You may need to bend or roll it slightly. Blow up each balloon as much as it will go, and twist the end of the balloon into a knot. You will see the name or prayer card floating around the interior of the balloon.

Attach a long ribbon, at least 3 feet long, to each balloon end and knot it in place. Present the prayer bouquet as either a collection of prayers or a collection of people praying for a given person.
