How to Study for FTCE
Florida law requires that prospective teachers demonstrate a mastery of basic skills, professional knowledge and subject-area specialty. In response, teacher certification candidates must take and pass the Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE). The FTCE is comprised of a general knowledge test and the professional education test. The general knowledge test consists of the essay, English language skills, reading and math sub-tests. You increase your chances of passing the exam when you take advantage of available study materials and employ basic study skills.

EPIs offers courses that help you pass the FTCE. Courses cover topics such as classroom management, instructional strategies and technology. The Teach in Florida website, teachinflorida.com, has a current list of accredited colleges and universities offering EPI courses.
