How to Use OpenDNS on a Laptop
All Internet service providers link their subscribers to Internet servers called Dynamic Name Servers (DNS). DNS servers, in turn, retrieve the location of websites based on their domain names. For instance, if you type a Web address in your browser, the DNS server finds the IP address and sends you to that address. OpenDNS is a private set of DNS servers that does all this, for a fee, at a faster speed than normal.
