How to Put a New Belt on a Eureka Power Plus Vacuum
The Eureka Power Plus is an upright vacuum cleaner that features an allergen filter and an easy-to-empty dust cup. This vacuum model does not use bags. The vacuum has a belt-driven roller brush to increase its cleaning efficiency. If the belt breaks, it should be replaced to maintain the cleaning ability of your Eureka vacuum. Ensure the vacuum cleaner is turned off and unplugged. Lower the vacuum handle to the floor.

Remove the two screws at each end of the plastic cover that fits on top of the brush roller. Lift off the cover.

Lift the roller out of the vacuum body, pulling up on the left end first and slipping the right end out of the belt, if the belt is still in one piece. Remove the belt from the motor drive shaft and vacuum body.

Hook the new belt around the end of the motor shaft and the right end of the roller brush.

Stretch the belt by pulling the right end of the roller brush into position and pushing the right end of the roller down into place. Align the left end of the roller with the square slot in the vacuum body and push into place.

Turn the roller brush several times to ensure the belt is in the roller groove and properly aligned.

Replace the plastic cover over the brush and reinstall the two screws.

Tips & Warnings
Take the broken or worn drive belt to the store when you go to buy a new belt to compare the sizing. Remember that the new belt will stretch slightly.
While you have the roller brush out of the vacuum, clean off any debris stuck in the brush and and strings that have wrapped around the brush.

this vacuum is the hardest one to change the belts and they break constanly plus it stays stopped up it is the worst vacuum I have ever had I do not recommend it to my worst enemy.
