Google Docs works with most word processor file types.

Google Documents ("Google Docs") allows users to upload or create a wide variety of document or presentation files and store them online for joint collaboration or sharing with others. You can share the uploaded documents globally, or you can publish them privately with limited access only for certain users. The system supports a majority of the popular document file type formats available, including but not limited to: .DOC, .ODT, .ODS, .CSV, .PPT.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your Google account and access your "Documents List" at docs.google.com. Locate the document to which you wish to add a footer. Open the document for editing.

    • 2

Find and click on the "Insert" drop down menu and select the "Footer" option. You should then see a text entry area with dotted lines.

    • 3

Type the text you wish and then click anywhere in the main document space to save it. If you wish to remove the footer, all you have to do is delete the text you had previously entered.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also add or remove a header section by following the above steps, replacing the choice in step three.
