How to Cancel AT&T
AT&T provides phone and Internet service in the United States. If you're switching services, you will want to make sure your old service is canceled so you don't end up paying for a service you're not using. Only the primary AT&T account holder can cancel its service, but as long as the account holder is available, canceling is just a matter of navigating the customer support system.

Make sure you have paid your account in full. AT&T will not let you cancel service with unpaid bills on your account.
If you have a service contract, you may be charged a penalty for early cancellation.
