How to Write Your Own Signature
A personal signature is as defining and unique to an individual as a fingerprint. It is not only your name, but also your name written in your own personal handwriting and style. A handwritten signature is used for legal documents like your marriage certificate or any loans you might need, like a mortgage or student loans. It is also used to sign letters, whether they are typed or handwritten.

Write your name in cursive handwriting.

Practice writing your name several times both slowly and quickly. Note the differences in how your name appears when you write quickly versus when you write slowly.

Try a few different writing styles. Try writing loopy letters or letters that are tightly compacted. Try adding flourishes to the signature.

Select the signature style and appearance you prefer.

Practice the signature you selected until you can consistently sign in the same way or similarly both when writing quickly and slowly.

A signature is always written in a cursive script so it flows together rather than having each letter separate as it is written in print.
When you write quickly, your name may run together; some letters might end up scribbled and difficult to read or you might even miss letters. Practice you signature so it looks consistent even when you write quickly.
