How to Pressure Cook Bacon
There's nothing like the smell of cooking bacon to wake you up in the morning. Bacon, which is a cured meat from the belly of a pig, is cut into long slices and is most commonly cooked in a frying pan. If you don't have the time to fry the bacon, the microwave is often used. However, the results of microwave bacon is usually not nearly as crisp and flavorful as fried bacon. Using a pressure cooker to fry the bacon in will save you time, and provide the desired flavor and crispness for your bacon. Does this Spark an idea?

Lay the slices of bacon into the bottom of the pressure cooker in a single layer.

Place the pressure cooker lid over the pot and lock it into place securely. The handle on the pot, and the lid will line up to form one handle when the pot is firmly locked.

Heat the pressure cooker to a medium heat and allow it to cook for three to five minutes. The pressure and heat building up in the pot will cause it to cook much faster than in a pan.

Turn off the heat and unlock the lid. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon.

Drain the bacon on paper towels before serving.

Tips & Warnings
Add a bit of oil to the pressure cooker pot only if you are using turkey bacon, which is nearly fat-free.
