How to Repair an NES Game System
If you own an NES Game System, you have probably experienced a blinking blue screen when trying to play. Most of the time, this is a simple repair that requires nothing more than an air duster and a few cotton swabs.
Instructions

1
Spray the air duster inside the cartridge tray. Also, spray wherever you see open gaps around the console, such as the buttons and ridges connecting the plastic parts.
-
2
Clean the game cartridge with cotton swabs and window cleaner. Dip one end of the swab in the cleaner and lightly brush around the inside of the cartridge.

-
3
Use a fresh swab to dry the inside of the cartridge completely.
-
4
Place the game cartridge into the console and press power. You may need to jiggle the game back and forth a little to get it to start. If it still does not work, repeat steps one through three.
