Clean the Internet files in Firefox to remove any sensitive data related to the websites you frequent.

Mozilla Firefox is one of the most commonly used Web browsers for Mac OS X. When you browse the Web with Firefox, the application gathers and stores a variety of information it receives related to different websites. This information includes browsing and download history, form and search bar history, cookies, cache, active logins and site preferences. Select the type of data you want to clean carefully as you will no longer be able to recover it once you it is cleaned from Firefox.

      Open the Firefox application.

      Click "Tools" located in the menu bar at the top of the screen.

      Click "Clear Private Data."

      Click the checkboxes next to each form of Internet data listed to mark and specify which type of data to clear.

      Click the "Clear Private Data Now" button to remove the data.
