How to Make a Barbie Costume in 5 Minutes

A Malibu Barbie costume is as simple as pulling on a swimsuit.

If you needed a costume 5 minutes ago, have one 5 minutes from now. A Barbie costume is very easy to put together. Barbie has many looks, but if you pick a simple one, you can be out the door looking like the iconic doll in just minutes. You may need to spend a few extra minutes on makeup to have a complete Barbie look, but it is still a very simple costume to pull together.

Things You'll Need

• Swimsuit
• Sunglasses
• Towel
• Makeup
• Ponytail holder
• Hawaiian print shirt
• Khaki skirt or shorts
• Big flower
• Sandals

Instructions

1. Pick a base for your Malibu Barbie costume. Any type of swimsuit will work, but if you would rather not wear a swimsuit, then choose a floral, Hawaiian-style shirt and a skirt.

2. Add big sunglasses and roll up a towel to carry as a prop.

3. Apply heavy blue eyeshadow, mascara, bright pink lipstick, lots of bronzer to look like you are tan and some pink blush to give you Barbie doll cheeks.

4. Pull your hair up into a ponytail on the top of your head.

5. Step into some summer sandals, and slide an artificial flower into your ponytail for more of a tropical look.
