How to Paint Your Face Like a Jokester

Use a soft, damp sponge to apply face paint.

If you are looking for an easy Halloween costume, then consider dressing up like the Joker from the movie Batman. To do this, you will need to paint your face, since the Joker's face really makes his outfit. You will need just a few simple supplies. Always test face paint on your hand or section of your inner arm prior to beginning to be sure you do not have an adverse reaction. Your face will be completely covered, so be sure to buy hypoallergenic, washable face paint.

Things You'll Need

• Face paint sponges
• White, red, and black face paint (hypoallergenic and washable)
• Wet washcloth

Instructions

1. Dampen and wring out a soft face paint sponge. Swipe the sponge in white face paint. Cover your entire face with white face paint. Apply the paint gently and less liberally around sensitive face areas, such as your eyes. This is your base.

2. Dampen and wring out another soft face paint sponge. Swipe it in red face paint. Smear the red paint across your lips, and extend the paint in a wide upper curve that extends from one cheek across your lips to the other cheek.

3. Pick up a third dampened face paint sponge, and swipe it in black paint. Gently apply the paint around each of your eyes, covering your eyelids and creating what looks like two black eyes.
