How to Make iTunes the Default Player for Audio Files
iTunes is an audio and video player for Windows and Mac systems that also allows you to transfer content to portable devices including MPEG-3 (MP3) players. The application also interfaces with Apple devices, including the iPad and iPod, for transferring updates to the devices. Your computer automatically sends specific file types to certain programs for opening including audio files. The default player for audio files may not be iTunes on your system but you can change this via your computer's "Default Programs" utility.
