People in Texas who have successfully completed a food safety training program receive a Texas Food Handler's Permit. The organization through which you completed the training will issue you the permit by mail or in person. Or, you can print it out if you take and pass an online food handler's safety course. The permit serves as proof to employers in the food industry that you have completed the course. If you misplace the permit, you can obtain another copy through the organization that granted it to you, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Contact the organization that issued the Texas Food Handler's Permit to you in order to obtain a copy, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services. Calling the organization is the quickest way to get the information.
