How to Pair a Bluetooth Motorola H710

To use the Motorola H710 Bluetooth headset, you need to pair it with your smartphone, tablet or computer. After you pair the H710, it automatically detects incoming and outgoing calls and other audio activity taking place on your mobile device or computer. Use the controls on your smartphone, tablet or PC, and the headset reacts accordingly.

Pair With a Mobile Device

Step 1

Open the H710's boom microphone to turn on the headset and set it to discoverable mode so that it is ready to be paired. You know the headset is in pairing mode when its indicator light turns solid blue.

Step 2

Open the Settings app on your smartphone or tablet and select Bluetooth on the main menu.

Toggle the Bluetooth switch to the On position. Depending on how often you use Bluetooth, it may already be enabled.

Tip

  • Images shown are from a device running Android 5.0. They will differ slightly from iOS and Windows Phone devices, but the procedure is essentially the same.

Touch the Motorola H710 on the list of available devices displayed on the Bluetooth screen and enter the pairing code 0000.

Tip

  • Depending on the operating system running on your mobile device, you may be prompted to tap Pair or Yes before entering the pairing code to confirm that you want to connect with the H710.

Pair With a Windows PC

Step 1

Open the H710's boom microphone to turn the headset on and automatically set it to discoverable mode so that it is ready to be paired. You know the headset is in pairing mode when its indicator light is solid blue.

Return to the Start screen on your Windows 8.1 computer, press Control-C and click the Settings icon on the Charms menu.

Choose PC Settings, click PC & Devices and then select Bluetooth to open the Bluetooth settings panel.

Step 4

Toggle the Bluetooth switch to the On position, select the H710 on the list of available devices and click the Pair button. If prompted to enter a pairing code, use 0000.

Pair With a Mac

Pairing works differently on Mac computers. Click the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your Mac's screen and choose System Preferences on the drop-down menu. Click the Bluetooth icon on the System Preferences menu and then click the Turn Bluetooth On button, if Bluetooth functionality is not already active on your Mac. If it is, the button will say Turn Bluetooth Off instead.

Locate the H710 on the list of available devices and click the associated Pair button. Enter 0000 as the pairing code, if prompted.
