How to Rename a File From MP4 to AVI

Save

If users want to rename an MP4 file as an AVI file, they cannot simply change the file extension. In order for the video to be recognized as an AVI file, it needs to be properly encoded with Audio-Video Interleave compression. Nonetheless, there are several media conversion applications that are capable of reformatting MP4 files as AVI files. MPEG Streamclip and iWisoft Free Video Converter are two examples of freeware that support this operation. Meanwhile, Online Convert is a Web platform that can convert digital media files through an Internet browser.
