Changing the address of a Limited Liability Company (LLC) in New Jersey is a simple procedure. Title 42 of the 2009 New Jersey Code governs the rules and regulations of LLCs. The registered agent of the LLC files the change of address form with the New Jersey Department of Treasury's Division of Revenue. The form can be filed either in person or mailed. A street address is always required. A post office box address is permissible only if a street address is also included.

Locate the LLC's 10-digit business entity number. The business entity number can accessed online at the New Jersey State Business Gateway Service (accessnet.state.nj.us).
Obtain form L-122 "Certificate of Change — Registered Name or Address, or Both." The form can be downloaded at the New Jersey Treasury Department's Division of Revenue website (nj.gov/treasury/revenue/). Click on "View Forms Library" under the "Quick Links" header in the left-hand menu. Scroll down to "Commercial Recording" and click on "Changes of Registered Agent/Office." Click on "L-122" in the "Change of Agent/Address or Both" section to download a PDF of the form.
Complete the form and submit in duplicate. Nonprofit organizations must submit form L-122 in triplicate.
File form L-122 in person. Bring the appropriate fee and L-122 to the New Jersey Department of Revenue, 33 W. State St., Fifth Floor, Trenton, NJ 08608. The fee is payable by check or money order and must be made out to the Treasurer/State of New Jersey. Cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover are also accepted.
File L-122 by mail. Attach the filing fee, which is listed on the form. The fee, payable by check, must be made out to the Treasurer, State of New Jersey.
