How to Cut My Banana Slices
Banana slices are available as dried fruit in many health food stores and the supermarket. Dried banana slices become hardened and curl slightly when dehydrated; cutting them sometimes snaps the slice in half. However, you might want to cut up the slices to add to a cake or cereal. You can do this, although there is no guarantee the cut will follow the direction of the knife and the slice could end up splitting.

1
Put two or three banana slices on the chopping board.
-
2
Steady one banana slice at a time against the chopping board. Hold the slice with one hand, then hold the vegetable knife in the other. Put the knife blade on top of the slice.
-
-
3
Push down firmly, without using a sawing or cutting motion because the slice may snap or shatter into two or three pieces instead of two.
-
4
Release your grip of the banana slice with your fingers, and scoop it into a bowl. Then, continue to cut the other banana slices the same way.
-
5
Swap your vegetable knife to a serrated knife, if you are chopping up softer bananas. This will enable you to now use a sawing motion to cut up the slices more easily.
