How to Deactivate the Laser Scanner in Meet the Robinsons
In the game "Meet the Robinsons," laser scanners are found in the basement of the Robinson's home. Not all of the laser scanners can be deactivated and will require you to find a way around them. The first one is by the receptionist. You must climb over the vases on either side of the room to bypass it. Once over the vase, climb along the ledge until you come across the Camera Bot. Once you pass this area, you'll be on your way to the Time Lab, where you must fight the Robot Guardian.

Climb through the vent system to get to the platform that will take you to the next floor, defeating all Robot Sentries and Camera Bots along the way.

Climb onto the platform and enter "Target" mode" when you come across the Laser Scanner's shield.

Target the protective cover behind the Laser Scanner's shield.

Fire a long shot from your disassembler to destroy the protective cover. Now you can see the Robinson's Power Box

Enter target mode and shoot a long shot with your charge ball to disable the Laser Scanner. There is one other Laser Scanner in the basement area. Perform the same steps to disable the last scanner.
