How to Tie R-Bend Spinners
Spinner baits are lures that have two arms -- a long one with a skirt and hook, and a shorter one with a blade or two. Fishermen attach the lure to the fishing line at the intersection of the two arms. Some spinner baits have a loop at that spot, while others are shaped like the letter "R." Anglers who tie line to R-bend spinner baits must tie the knot at the correct spot, and make sure it is tight.
Instructions

1
Hold the spinner bait so the hook and blade point downward.
-
2
Find the top of the lure. This is the R-bend -- the spot at which you should tie your line.

3
Attach the line to the R-bend using a Palomar knot (see Resources). Make sure the knot is at the top of the bend before tightening it.
